These people are great,I’ve been with them for over a year. Seems like a well-run outfit, customer service responsive via email, knowledgeable, seems to have a lot of features. I’m paying $10/month (it’s cheaper if I sign up for a year at a time, but I haven’t) for them to host Windows ASP plus $10 for a sqlserver database (MySql and Access is free). Service has never been down, as far as I’ve noticed.

The main problem of easyCGI is the support.
I wait amd wait and wait for their support.
The new record now is 1 week that my server is down and not working my store, can you belive it ONE WEEK down, and they not fix it.
They lost my backup files, after my upgrade, and can not even go back and restore my server.
Well as I have say, is a ship with out capten.
If you buy somthing on easyCGI, then pray to god to not have any problems, or else no one is there to help you, and answer machines rules ! almost all the time answer machines answer to my calls.
if they not fix the poor support that they have, I think that they close down.

Even though I give them 7/10 I think there are better out there, so this is negative.
Features: This is where I’m satisfied and why I stayed with them. I get tons of db space, with tons of databases, and a pretty good control panel. The email client could use work but I’ve seen far worse.
Performance: Crap, absolute crap. I don’t mean just DB and apparent server performance issues, but throughput to and from the site, it’s just crap.

Very unhappy with this host. Lots of hidden fees you learn about “after” you sign with them. Very limited database of “50 mb” They don’t bother to mention this until “after” you sign up. I would NOT recommend this host to anyone.

Joe Katz posted a very postitive review of EasyCGI and loves their Windows ASP setup.
I never sign up for a new host with out very calling, I don’t like E-mail. Talking to a real person tells me more about the service I will get than an E-mail followed up by a form letter.
I called them explained my needs and they seemed perfect. Affordable ($9.95 monthly) I switch the yearly $7.96 after I decided I would keep them.
If you are hosting a web site that requires ACTIVE SERVER PAGES, and want to BRING your own programs then this is the HOST for you. The prices seem very good considering all the PROGRAMS they do handle… HECK I can not think of anything that they don’t handle.
Yes this site does have a limited help file, but they have a GREAT customer support to make up it.

I’ve used easycgi for web,ftp and sql hosting for 2 years.
At first, i was very satisfied. However since the beginning of 2007 the service has gone way,way down.
for example, when i first put my sql db on their shared server, there were just a few other customer’s db’s. gradually more and more were added to the same server , there are now Hundreds (thousand?) of shared db’s on this server! of course the strain on resources makes the response time USELESS! all i get now are hangs,,, permananetly! I called them about it and they told me to upgrade to a 4x more expensive service to get the same kind of response time i used to get!
nice business plan! Today, 6/8/07, the ENTIRE easycgi complex is down- for 5 hrs and counting.. NO web site, no ftp, no sql and even NO easycgi Homepage!! customer service is one big busy signal.. did they skip town? they should.. Me, i am definitely pulling everything off easycgi.
I highly recommend EasyCGI. I originally hosted 1 client’s website with them - the service was faster, more reliable and much cheaper than the original host, Bell South. I have since grown my web design business and have about 25 sites hosted with them, I can’t remember one time in over 2 years any customers had a complaint about downtime. You can’t beat the price, especially if you are in the business - join the reseller program and make a nice profit. Tech support is very good; I always have a response in less than an hour - not to mention the fact that they are actually knowledgeable.

These guys have excellent phone support, they are fast and responsive 24 hours a day (yes, i call them at awful hours of the night). Their technical support staff is incredibly helpful, to the point of hanging out in the wordpress support forums themselves. When i signed up with them, i had no idea how few apps run on IIS, but their excellent support has kept me on, despite the additional difficulty.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for simple HTML hosting, ASP hosting, or anyone who’s not looking for a lot out of their wordpress install.
Also, in the 2 years I’ve been hosted there, they’ve increased both my storage space and my bandwidth twice. the first time, they increased them fourfold. the second time, they increase one hundredfold.
